Emergency Anthropology

There aren't that many jobs out there for an aid worker/anthropologist. So many thanks to Michael Kleinman for letting me make the argument for Emergency Anthropology on his fun, high-traffic blog. Michael is the humanitarian relief blogger for change.org. (Aid, fun? In the right hands, yes.) Click here and bookmark!

I'm sure there's a boatload of egomaniacs dying to get their hands on a Yale/Princeton/Berkley PhD just so they can say that they have you on staff. It won't even be that hard to get them to let you do exactly want you want at work.

Most rich people will pay anything to improve their image. Just look at how much they spend on lavish parties, cars, surgery, jewelry, etc. Perhaps this is a way to put that money to good use.

Hi Villy,

I'm hiring you as my rep (as long as you don't charge much above minimum wage). Thanks for the vote of confidence! Let's hope the rich continue to give to NGOs and foundations so I can find work.

Cheers, Cindy
